![]() As you can expect, almost all of the action takes place in the ocean. There is a fair amount of action in the show, almost all of which is in the form of medium to long ranged shelling and torpedoes. They seem to lack any personality whatsoever, look crude, and range from ugly bio-metallic sharks to what appears to be humanoid dolls with weird appendages. The antagonists, on the other hand, are very bland and generic. Still, I find it funny that they can do much damage given that some of the barrels are literally the size of an ordinary pencil. Shooting an arrow that morphs into a squadron of planes, each with cute-looking mini-occupants that no one cares about upon death, is a unique idea. Unlike Strike Witches, the girls are armed with different gear (aircraft carrier, cruiser, destroyer, etc.) rather than just having different guns. There are a lot of characters in the show, to the point that even if everyone is distinguishable there are too many names to remember. The mood in the show is very similar to Strike Witches, despite supposedly being at "war" the overall vibe is strangely peaceful and cheerful. Yes, there are moments where the CGI frame rate makes the characters look artificial, but for the most part it, is well integrated. Kantai is well animated with diverse scenery, good colorization and effects, and (for the most part) well blended CGI effects. Upon being defeated, the girls will "sink" to the bottom of the ocean, apparently life vests and swimming weren't invented in this universe. The warriors have uniforms that include turrets and torpedoes, and allow them to float on water. For those who don't know what either of the two above is about, this show is a light action, ALL female cast with light ecchi. Note that I'm writing from the perspective of someone new to the Kantai universe. If you subscribe to the Kantai universe, this may be interesting to you as well. If you liked Strike Witches, this will be right up your alley. The majority of the show is about girls acting cute around each other (occasionally with a bit of yuri) and occasionally doing battle with antagonists that no one cares about. That being said, the storyline is pretty darn similar. ![]() As similar as the settings sound, Kantai takes place on the ocean and has girls representing the "spirit" of Japanese ships rather than wearing the propellers and colors of countries. No this is not Strike Witches, this is Kantai. Our only hope is a group of special girls with innate abilities to defend our realm. Ī mysterious enemy armada lays waste to Earth. And since clubs take up so much time in the lives of students, these are obviously also important. For the older viewers a college setting with more mature real-life problems is appropriate. The military may also have additional functions within a society, including construction, emergency services, social ceremonies, and guarding critical areas., school life Since a large part of the anime audience still takes part in school life or is visiting college, it is only natural to choose a setting the audience can identify with, be it elementary, middle, or high school. The task of the military is usually defined as defence of the state and its citizens and the prosecution of war against foreign powers. ![]() ![]() Game Based on an interactive (even if minimally so) form of entertainment software, generally available for PCs, consoles or arcade machines., military The military, also known as the armed forces, are forces authorized and legally entitled to use deadly force so as to support the interests of the state and its citizens. ![]()
